Data retention & deletion
How long we host your site
Your wedding site stays live through your wedding and a grace period afterward. On the free plan that grace period is 3 months after your wedding date; on Premium it is 12 months. If we don’t have a recognizable wedding date on file, we measure the window from the date you first published, so your site is never cut off early.
What happens when the window ends
Nothing comes down without notice. As your hosting window approaches its end, we’ll email you— your site stays up and your data stays put until we’ve been in touch. After that notice, we may take the site offline, and no earlier than 30 days after it comes down we may remove its data. During early access this is handled personally rather than by an automated schedule, so the one thing to rely on is the order: notice first, offline second, removal last.
You can export your guests’ responses at any time, right up until removal. We never hide responses you’ve already collected.
Deleting your wedding yourself
From your dashboard you can delete your wedding at any time. Deleting takes the site offline and closes RSVPs immediately. Because a wedding’s data can’t be recreated, we hold it for a 30-day reversal window — you can restore it during that time — and then permanently delete it.
Your guests’ information
The couple is the owner of their guest list and responses; The Cordially Invitedstores and processes that information on the couple’s behalf. If you’re a guest and want your information removed, ask the couple — they can remove you from their guest list, which deletes your response. Guest names, contact details, and dietary or accessibility notes are used only to run the couple’s wedding and are removed on the schedule above.
Changing plans
If a Premium wedding moves to the free plan, we never shorten an already-running hosting window to less than 30 more days, and export stays available the whole time.
