Ceremony
Rancho La Nube · The West Field
An open-field ceremony as the light turns gold and long across the grass. Arrive by 4:30.
Together, under the West Texas dark

Our Orbit
We met on the viewing platform nine miles east of town — both of us squinting at the dark, both claiming we could see the Marfa lights. We couldn't. We stayed until two in the morning anyway, and something out there flickered.
Six years on, we still drive out most Septembers, when the desert goes violet after eight and stays that way for hours. James proposed on that same platform, at that same slow hour. So we're marrying under that same sky — with all of you beside us.
Nobody has ever explained the lights out here. We stopped trying and started staying.

The celebration
Rancho La Nube · The West Field
An open-field ceremony as the light turns gold and long across the grass. Arrive by 4:30.
The Courtyard
Mezcal palomas, passed bites, and a pedal steel guitar as the sun drops and the air cools.
The Long Porch
One long table under strung lights, family-style. Toasts welcome; take your time.
The Adobe Hall
Slow songs first, then louder ones. When you need air, the dark is right outside.
Marfa, Texas
Ceremony, dinner, and dancing all happen here, eight minutes east of town on Highway 90.

With gratitude
Your presence is enough. For those who asked, these are the places and pieces we chose.
Before we gather
Cocktail attire in desert colors, with a real layer for later — the temperature falls fast once the sun is gone out here. The ceremony is on grass and dirt, so think about your heels.
Your invitation names everyone we've saved a chair for. If anything about your party looks off, write to us — we'd rather fix it than have you wonder.
We adore your little ones, but this evening runs late under a cold sky, so we're keeping it adults-only.
The adobe hall sits thirty steps from the field. If the wind kicks up, we move inside and let the sky sulk.
By August 1, 2026, please. Headcounts shape the long table, the meals, and how many chairs face the dark.
