Our Story
Met in the rain, of course.
We met during a proper Edinburgh downpour — Olivia sheltering in the mouth of Advocate's Close, James arriving with an umbrella already blown inside out. She laughed. He stayed. The rain, to its credit, kept us there an hour.
Six years on, we still take the long way past that close, usually in worse weather. It's where James proposed last October, mid-gale, both of us soaked and entirely certain. So that's where the day begins — down the same stones, with all of you.
“We fell in love in bad weather. It seems only right to marry in it.”
